What is the ppvote Participant List?

The Participant List is a very simple Excel spreadsheet where you can store various data about your voters.

Common uses are:

  • To store the voter names, so that when you run the data export, it shows votes by name rather than keypad number
  • To store additional voter information, such as their employee or membership ID
  • To weight the votes for specific keypads. This is commonly used in AGMs
  • To simply add columns to your data export to allow you to add more information per voter to the spreadsheet after your voting session

You can create a new Participant List by opening your voting presentation and in the PowerPoint ribbon bar going to Add-ins > CLiKAPAD > Set up > Participants. This will open a spreadsheet that is automatically saved to the same folder as your presentation.

You can use a Participant List that has been used for a previous presentation. Simply save a copy to the folder where the voting presentation is stored.

Key things to remember:

You must NOT change the name of this file. The software is looking only for a file called ppvote Participant List.

You must keep this file in the same folder as your presentation as that is the only location that the voting software will check.
