You need to always set up by telling the software your lowest and highest keypad number. However not having all of the keypads within that range is not an issue. The system will calculate percentages based on the number of votes it receives.
If you are using the function of showing which keypad numbers have not voted, it may be a little irritating to show the number of devices that you know are missing, broken or for any other reason, not in use. You can tell the software to exclude those once you have run the first vote.
Let's imagine the scenario is that you have 10 voters. You are using keypads 1-11 because keypad 3 is lost or the voter with keypad 3 has left the meeting.
In the keypad set up screen, set your lowest number and 1 and your highest as 11.
Run the first vote. Show the numbers of keypads that have not voted by pressing K on your keyboard.
As soon as every keypad apart from keypad 3 has submitted a vote, press the minus (-) key on your keyboard.
From that vote onward the system will no longer look for votes from keypad 3, so the number 3 will never be displayed.
The missing keypad will only be excluded for that one voting session. Next time you run a session, you will need to repeat the process if 3 is still missing. Or you may decide to reprogram your highest number keypad so that it becomes keypad 3. Looks for instructions for changing the SID (soft identity) of a keypad if you need that more permanent solution.
Back to our scenario, what if keypad 3 needs to be included again? For example that voter returns to the meeting.
Run your next vote and before closing it to display the graph press the plus (+) key. This will tell the software to accept votes from all keypads within your number range.
