Setting up your virtual meeting
Open a browser
Enter “keypad.world” into the URL bar
The meeting code entry page will open, this is how
attendees join to vote, and it’s also the organiser entry page for the administration of remote voting sessions
Click the Admin login link below the Sign in button
Your login details will be those used for our downloads centre. Don’t worry if you have forgotten the password, there is a link to reset it.
Click on Add New at the top of the page
Create a name for your meeting, this is for your own reference and won’t be displayed to the voters
Enter the maximum number of people that you wish to be able to connect to the session in the Remote Voters Limit box. This can be left blank if you don’t wish to restrict the number of admissions
Use the dropdown box to select your login mode, whichever you choose the system will automatically generate a meeting code
- Invite only - attendees log in using their email addresses
- Password protected - you choose a password once this option is selected
- Open - attendees only need the meeting code

NB: It’s recommended to set this a little higher than the number of expected voters in case anyone disconnects and reconnects as a new keypad number. For example if you have 30 voters expected, you could set this for 35 |
For Open or Password protected simply click the Create Meeting button and the session is now ready and you will see a confirmation of your new meeting code. Click OK
You will be taken to your meeting portal where any edits can be made. To edit the settings click the blue button for the meeting you want to make changes to.
For invite only, you will also need to click the green button and set up the list of permitted participants
Then click Import Voters
The easiest way to create list of voters is to download the template and add the info of your invitees
The template is a simple spreadsheet with some example voters. Simply update the names, email addresses and keypad numbers. Remember if you are using physical keypads as well as remote keypads, you must use different numbers for your remote voters. For example if you have a set of keypads numbered 1-30, your remote voters need to start at 31. Save the file.
Now browse to the file and click upload
That’s the online set up completed. The next step is to link the remote voting session to your CLiKAPAD enabled PowerPoint presentation
