This error is a warning that the back up copy of your voting data cannot be saved. If you click OK your vote will close as normal and the results will be shown (unless you have set the slide up to hide the results). However, this error will appear for every vote.
The warning should not be ignored. If your PowerPoint crashes or you close without saving, you could find yourself with no data to restore, should that stored locally on the slides not be present.
The most common cause of this error is that the file is being run in a One Drive backed up folder or other non-local folder location.
One Drive compatibility is included from version 5.2.0 (which at the time of writing this article is under test and due for imminent release.
Short term fix: move you presentation to a truly local folder that does not sync and try running the session again. We recommend creating a folder directly on your Local Disk (usually C Drive) and calling it Voting Files and using that to store all voting presentations. Be sure to keep a back up copy elsewhere too.
Long term fix: within PowerPoint, go to Add-ins > CLiKAPAD > Help > Check for updates to see whether you can automatically update.
