There are 4 software levels and 2 license types. Levels determine what functionality is available. Types determine how the license is limited.
The license levels available to buy are Essential, Professional and Matrix. The fourth level is Lite, which is no longer for sale. Lite licenses already owned are still valid for use though.
The license types are User and Base. A user license is registered to one specific laptop but can be used with any base station (receiver). A base license (our standard license type) can be installed on an unlimited number of computers but can only be used with the list of base stations that have been registered to it.
The base type license is standard as it is more convenient to users. Having a license locked to a specific laptop is problematic as it leaves the user unable to use their system if the laptop is lost, broken or unavailable.
The brochure has a table showing what functionality is included in each level. Click here for the brochure.
