How do I get the channel of my keypads and base station (receiver) to match?

If no votes are received from your keypads, it's possible the channel of the receiver and the keypads differ. You need to determine the receiver channel number and then decide whether to change the receiver to match the keypads or vice versa.

These instructions cover where to find the channel of receiver and how to change that, or change the channel of the keypads.
  1. Plug in the base station and open PowerPoint.
  2. Go to Add-Ins > CLiKAPAD > Set-up > Keypads. The Keypad Set-Up window will open.
  3. On your keyboard press: SHIFT+CTRL+C (all together!) to reveal some extra settings.
  4. Click the Settings button. The CLiKAPAD Advanced Settings window will open.

5. Click on the “circuit config tab”.

6. Listed in the top left are all available CLiKAPAD base stations.

7.  Click on the base station you wish to use and check the Current Config box to determine your current channel.

8.  If you want to change the channel of the receiver to match your keypads, type in the new channel number and click on Apply to Base. If you don't know the channel of your keypads try the default, which is 75. CHANGING THE CHANNEL OF YOUR KEYPADS

To change the channel of the keypads you must first put the base onto the same channel that the keypads are on, follow the instructions above.

In this example the keypads will be switched from their current channel, Channel 6 in this case, to Channel 75.  First the radio channel of the keypads must be updated by pressing “Apply to Keypads”.

9.  Activate the keypads you wish to change by pressing any button, when the keypad has received the new setting the keypad’s display will update to show the number pressed and the relevant keypad number will light green on the grid.

10.  Once all keypads have responded press the STOP button.

11.  Click the “Apply to Base” button this will then apply the new channel to the base being used.

12.  The current config section will be updated to reflect the new settings.
