If you are running an anonymous session, this article can be ignored. If you need to apply weightings to specific votes or you require names to be exported within your report, see below.
Assigning keypads to voters by name It may be beneficial to name the keypads for the purposes of analysing voting results and the creation leader boards. If not named, the relevant keypad number will be displayed instead.
|
From the Add-ins tab select CLiKAPAD > Setup > Participants/Keypad Names. |
An Excel sheet will open. The first column contains the keypad numbers. The voter names can be typed or pasted into the second column. The file can also be edited later. It will be saved to the same folder as your presentation and will be named ppvote Participant List. It's essential that you do not rename or move this file. If you move your presentation, you will need to also move this file to the new location. You may also wish to log some other information about your voters. All columns with a Custom Label header can be updated. For example you could change Custom Label 01 to have the header Department and you can then add that information for each voter to that column. When you run your data export report at the end of your voting session the voter names and other information will be included in the export alongside the voting data for each participant. This same spreadsheet can be used to apply weightings if required. Search this guide for weightings for more information. |
Once names and any other voter have been entered simply save your changes and you can then close Excel. One important thing to note is that the ppvote Participant List must be saved into the same folder as the presentation, so if you move your presentation remember to move your participant list too. Additionally you must not rename the file as the ppvote software looks for the file by the default name. |
